Nursing students and educators across the country are invited to submit a deserving classroom nursing instructor or hospital-based clinical educator. All entries must include a short essay explaining why the nominee is deserving of this award.

“There are many passionate and dedicated nursing educators working to improve our profession who  deserve to be recognized,” said Dr. Laura Gonzalez, vice president of clinical learning resources at Sentinel U. “This program enables us to  show our appreciation for their meaningful work.”

The winner will receive the 2022 Simulation Star Award and will have an avatar created in their likeness in the Sentinel U simulation universe.

The inaugural Simulation Star was presented to Ranger College Simulation Coordinator and Instructor Ashleigh Medina, MSN, RN, AACNP In 2021.  Medina was selected for her exceptional work creating a “simulation culture” and ensuring nursing students understand the expectations and opportunities in simulation. Her avatar will be included within Sentinel Town® this summer.
