Did you miss out on our webinar last week? Don’t worry, below you’ll find the highlights.

Healthcare Learning Innovations surveyed the nursing education market, aiming to improve their Virtual Clinical Simulations and Scenarios and to discover the missing pieces in nursing education for learning resources and product development ideas.

Recap – what we think is of most interest to you

Who did we survey?

  • Deans
  • Associate Deans
  • Program Chairs
  • Full-Time Faculty
  • Associate Professors

What program level?

  • Associate Degree Nursing
  • Prelicensure BSN
  • RN to BSN
  • Graduate Nursing

Key findings from webinar participant live polling

Live poll results pointed to Mental / Behavioral Health and Geriatric Home Assessment as the most important topics of need

Healthcare Learning Innovations also sees the significance in these topics for learners. Their Virtual Clinical Scenario, Prioritization of Care contains two pediatric patient sections and one geriatric section.

Live participants also shared the current course delivery method they use.

The data was nearly evenly split amongst classroom, online and a combined hybrid learning mode suggesting that virtual simulation can enhance all types of learning environments.

A few more things we learned from live polling during our webinar:

  • Schools are looking for a variety of delivery options: Laptop / PC, Mobile, VR Headsets
  • Schools believe high definition graphics have a strong impact on learner experience
  • Very few schools currently provide or require tablets for their students
